It's never across in mind to witness a plant that can be described with adjectives like sensual or luscious or sexy, but now you'll be surprise to see this plant which is resemble exactly like a woman's lips.
Its bracts shaped exactly like a woman's pouting its plumpy red lips, that surely make woman like Kylie Jenner or man like Mick Jagger merge into some kind of jealousy.
Known as Hooker's Lips or Hot Lips, the scientific name of this plant is Psychotria Elata. Come from family Rubiaceae, this tropical tree found mostly in the rain forests of South and Central America like Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and Ecuador. Resemblance of the bracts to the woman gorgeous lips is amazing and tempting. This sort of adaptation is to attract pollinators like hummingbirds and butterflies to spread the pollen through the forests.
Unfortunately, this pair of beautiful red hot orifices is short-lived, as they spread open and reveal the plant's flowers with the course of time.

People living near the area, gift these lips plants as a symbol of their affection and love. Many Psychotria species, including Psychotria viridis, produce the psychedelic (hallucinogenic) chemical, dimethyltryptamine (DMT) that can cause hallucination when consume.
However, this extraordinary flower has now become endangered due to uncontrolled deforestation.
